The Burbank Cultural Arts Center is an exciting setting for the community of the world to come together and experience a mecca of art and literature. The architecture, the gardens, and the venue will speak volumes for itself. The BCAC is an entirely Green Complex. BCAC is
designed to be utilized for performance, rental, interactive
viewing, community cultural edification and retail profit. PerformArts Center offers a boundless array of settings that will accommodate all types of performance, business, and instructional need. It is a flexible complex with stages that can be hydraulically reconfigured to a proscenium arch for classic ballets and plays. The center also provides the ability to drop down a screen for film festivals, business meetings and classroom/lecture settings. It can be reoriented into an arena setting for large lectures and industrials. Perfect venue for graduations, awards shows/presentations, art film festivals, and intimate gatherings PerformArts Center will be a big dome that will house all big events in the metro. An art gallery and gift shop will also be added on the lobby as a main attraction to tourists.
The Children’s Theatre and Da Vinci Theatre will house locations that will transform into performance venues for children to view works of art and engage in performances like puppets to science projects. Classes will be provided in the processes of melding both sides of the brain, combining art and science in an exciting new way that can be translated into the classrooms with professional development for teachers in and around the surrounding areas. It will be a place where the ‘Historic’ will dissolve into the ‘Modern.’ This space can also be used as rentals and for festivals, i.e., Bach, Copland, or Mozart. Film festivals and Art Festival will be given throughout the year at specific dates that will become an annual event for Burbank and surrounding communities.
Completely surrounded by black walls, black floor, and ceiling, Black Box is a modern space used for: experimental theatre, medium-sized music and dance performances, staged readings, art viewings, films, classrooms and rehearsal space. It can also be used for functions like weddings and meetings. Dance or film production companies can also rent it out for filming and auditions.
The Outdoor Amphitheatre is a beautiful open air space located at the 3rd floor of the center, made for outdoor functions like weddings, graduations, and performances. On the other other side of outdoor amphitheatre lies the PerformArts Center where the scenery of a large screen is seen. The screen is made for outdoor movies and film festivals.
he Gardens will be on the caliber of a small Huntington Library and Gardens. A botanist not gardeners will keep the grounds. They will all be themed so as to rent them out for different activities such as weddings, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, anniversaries, themed parties and exclusive performances, teas and meetings. This will be one of the largest revenue sources. The Center will have 40,000 sq. ft. of Storage. In revenue, this works out to more dollars per sq ft. than any of our other venues. The trend for
restaurants now is ‘Celebrity Names’ such as Di Vito and Dave
Koz putting their names on the venue. The BCAC will house a Jazz
Club and a walkway throughout the Center with the name of Dave Koz,
the famous Jazz Saxophone player. The Koz Way’s food will be
of an eclectic style with entertainment 7 days a week, before and
after shows. Currently, we are in negotiations with Danny Di Vito
to put his name on the Italian Restaurant as he just did in South
Beach, Fl. The style will be like that of Michele’s and Mozart’s in
Los Angeles. These restaurants’ themes are interactively and
musically oriented with singing waiters where customers are
encouraged to participate. The Dotrice Lounge an old world style cigar lounge with a walk in humidor, will be where the clients have their own lockers and fine wines and cognacs are served in leather lounging chairs with newspapers from around the world at the client’s disposal. There will also
be a café for breakfast and lunch dining with outdoor seating and a
small performance space. This outsourced kitchen will also provide
box dinners for the other outdoor performance spaces. There will be
a large dinning hall for community and business events. This will
also be outsourced. |
